Job Description:

A Solutions Architect plays a critical role in the development and implementation of technology solutions that align with an organization's strategic goals. They work closely with stakeholders, including business leaders, project managers, and development teams, to design and deliver scalable and efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise and support for the implementation and maintenance of IT systems
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to operations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize technical solutions
  • Conduct system assessments and recommend improvements to enhance performance and security
  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, network devices, and other IT infrastructure components
  • Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to propose innovative solutions
  • Train end-users and IT staff on new technologies and best practices
  • Collaborate with vendors to evaluate and select hardware and software solutions
  • Participate in on-call support and respond to emergencies as needed
  • Develop and implement incident response plans to address security breaches, system outages, or other critical incidents
  • Manage relationships with technology vendors, evaluate new products or services, and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness and optimal performance
  • Assist in the development and enforcement of IT policies, standards, and procedures to ensure a secure and compliant IT environment
  • Contribute to the development of the organization's technology roadmap, outlining future IT initiatives, upgrades, and migrations
  • Manage and optimize Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) systems and unified communications platforms to facilitate efficient communication within the organization
  • Implement and manage secure remote access solutions, allowing employees to work remotely while maintaining the security of organizational data
  • Develop and maintain business continuity plans to ensure uninterrupted IT services in the face of disruptions or disasters


Qualifications

  • Bachelor or higher degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
  • 5-7 years of Proven experience as a Technical Specialist/Consultant or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of software and system architecture, as well as technology trends
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages and familiarity with databases and cloud computing platforms
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities
  • Project management skills and familiarity with agile methodologies are beneficial


Preferred Skills

  • Experience with one or more cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified: Azure
  • Solutions Architect are often a plus
  • Experience in specific domains (e.g., Audio, Contact Centre/BPO) can be an advantage in domain-specific roles
